This is exactly what I wanted. This is installed in my home office. I like the half power mode that maintains the heat when near the selected temperature. Being on the wall means it is off the floor and out of the way. It does a much better job at maintaining the temperature compared to my old heater. I now turn the heat way down in the rest of the house while working all day.
I really like that it hangs on the wall. Keeps the grandkids from messing around with it. Hanging it up couldn’t have been simpler. So far no issues with them. It does make a slight noise you can hear if you're in a quiet room, but after a while, you don’t notice it. I would buy more of this heater.
Put in my garage and works great. Will hold temp close to 70 in 50-degree weather. Works with Google and Alexa. Love it
Well made, good materials, proper design. I would recommend it to anyone in need of such a heater.
However, the assembly diagram is one of the worst I've ever seen. It is both misleading and ambiguous. Most any high school sophomore could produce a much better one.
Well I must admit I was somewhat skeptical about this wall heater but pleasantly surprised at how it performs (after two weeks of use) and how solidly built it is. The unit arrived via FedEx in very well packaged shipment with no damage or scuffs. Unpacking was simple and directions were easy to follow and had unit on wall after about 45 minutes using Zinc-Plated Phillips screw-in drywall anchors. I will add that it weighs 40 pounds and a little difficult to hold on wall to see where the placement would look the best. Unit has a rocker style switch on right side bottom that I placed to on’ position and plugged the 3’ cord into a WIFI receptacle and thus control the on/off function through the receptacle IPhone app instead of switching manually. This unit does get hot with the highest temperature I recorded with my temperature gun at 196 degrees in a couple of spots, otherwise temperature is between 130-192 due to the grid heating element spacing imbedded (sandwiched) inside unit. We purchased to ‘knock the chill off’ in back master bathroom (about 200 sq. ft.) and does a good job but does takes around 2 hours to warm room. This heater is 750 watts and our KWH here is .098 which translates to 8 cents per hour to operate. Overall we are happy with this purchase and only time will tell if it holds up. We used our credit card which extended the one year warranty to two years.
Works as expected. Liked the statement when I ordered remote!
Dog chewed up the original one.
I lost one of my remotes and was able to order two new ones easily in the website. Within a few days the new ones were in my mailbox. I’ve both my heaters for over a year and they work great.
The Heat Storm Tradesman Heater is great. It is fully adjustable and very sturdy. I am very happy with it
i love the switch for on/off operation and the roll cage works in both directions. putting layers on is one option but I prefer the energy wise solution better. i feel the heat is beneficial in more ways than just warmth.
Appreciated a personal message after purchasing our second heater. Love the WiFi connection to help warm our cabin before we get there.
The main thing I needed this product for was to provide supplemental heat. The Heatstorm heater is wonderful for that. The reason I chose this specific make/model is because of the smart integration. This product has really let me down on that end. First, I had reprogram my wifi to 240hz just to get it connected. That takes some doing, to log into the router and change a bunch of settings. Second, the heater itself does not have smart controls, you have to use the Smart Life app. I have no other use for the Smart Life app other than this specific product. The Smart Life app is supposed to link with Google home...after about 25 tries and reviewing a couple forums, I'm still not connected. At the end of the day, all I have is a heater that I have programmed on/off. To only be able to do that means I paid too much for the heater.
I have this heater in my office and it puts out amazing comfortable heat! It's also suuuuuper quiet. I have had other space heaters that circulate the air with an internal fan, but this one takes the cake! It's the quietest space heater I have ever had.
Works well with good heat 5-6ft radius outside. Tip-over safety.
A little louder than I expected, but other than that this little heater is perfect. My wife was really worried about it getting too hot and our little toddler touching it. It does get hot, but not so hot that it would be an instant horrible burn. It's an excellent heater, I hope it lasts a long time
Customer service is the very best I have experienced in a very long time! The Phoenix 1500 wall heaters are a wonderful addition to my RV. They freed up my floor space. I bought 2 with the first generation circuit board that allows me to control low or high (which is essential when watching amperage use in an RV). Sadly, the new circuit boards cancel that control feature and allow the heater to cycle between high/low on it's own -12.5 amps vs 6 amps- which is a BIG deal breaker. It would be more RV friendly if the cord came with a flat plug. The 1500 is whisper quiet and the thermostat, while sensitive, is accurate. I love the remote control feature. While I would not expect these to be my primary heat source-they are not 'hot high heat' like a parabolic or the RV on board furnace-they do the supplemental 'trick' in keeping my RV at a comfort level once I bring the room temp up to where I need it. I am in a cold, wet rainy climate for the winter and they are perfect as a safe heat for at night while I sleep or when my dog is home alone for a few hours and needs a safe heater on.
The heater is fantastic for smalls rooms and small children, the plastic can get a bit hot but not enough to cause serious burns. The install is easy to the wall and using the app to change the temp. and monitor it are spot on and easy to use. I 100% recommend for small rooms.
Bought this to replace an older, bulkier quartz heater for a large (16 x 14) drafty family room. Assembly/attachment of the feet was quick and about half an hour after turning it on, the room was warmed to a very comfortable temperature. Haven’t gotten my first energy bill since I started using it, but at this point it doesn’t matter because the heater does a great job and I will continue to use it regardless of the cost!
We realized our infrared wall heater would get more use if we could move it from room to room — these feet are perfect for that. Sturdy & easy to install. The unit feels very stable. Seller communication & support was fantastic!
Who knew this remote works for all Heat Storm units? Now we can operate the Heat Storm infrared heater that has been sitting idle a couple yrs because we misplaced the remote. Our heater responded immediately to the new remote.
Excellent quality ... attaching legs very easy ... quiet operation with very good heat.
It was very simple to install and program (set the temp setting). I use it to keep an outside water closet from freezing.
I have two of these in my 26 foot RV that I drag around to various work sites. And the RV is NOT an Airstream....so suffice it to say, the insulation is not outstanding. But so far I have had 5 degrees below zero and the two of these heaters (one at each end of the RV basically) kept the inside temperature to 72 degrees very nicely. In fact they floated to the eco mode most of the time while doing it. Very impressive.
I purchased this heater to use as supplemental heat in my home office which is a room over the garage. It often gets much colder in here than the rest of the heating zone, requiring me to either set the zone heat to 75*+ to make it in the high 60's in here. This is about as 10'X24'. With the door closed this little space heater brought the temp from 58* to 71* in less than 20 minutes. It is quiet, the front doesn't get hot, the remote works well from across the room, and it is easily portable if I needed to move it. Having a dog and a toddler I also tested if it really would shut off if knocked over, and it does. It actually shuts off even if it doesn't actually fall over, but just unlevel it/bump it. Hands down this product deserves 5 Stars.
But what really has turned me into a Heat Storm customer for all my space heating needs is their customer service. After my first day using the heater for an extended period of time I noticed it kept making a tin/vibration sound. I contacted the phone number expecting to deal with a phone tree and hoping I would have time to get to an actual human before my next meeting. On the third ring a real person answered. I explained that my new heater was making an annoying sound. She told me she had to transfer me to support - ahh, here is the long hold - Nope. It never even rang. The next thing I heard was another real life human offering assistance. I was shocked - but in a good way. Real support from real people without jumping through hoops? Is this real life?? Well it was. The man I spoke with (and I feel awful I didn't write down his name) was pleasant, personable, and HELPFUL. He helped me trouble shoot the issue and when he said he created a file and added my notes in case I have an issue again, I actually feel confident that he did. Thank you so much to this gentleman (again so sorry I forgot your name) and to Heat Storm for hiring customer focused technicians and support. You have me as a new life-long customer.
Looks like I got what I ordered… I just ordered the wrong parts. Thank you
